Hello,

On the production server, I was trying to configure the Systers
customization and created
http://dev.systers.org/mailman/listinfo/systers-admin after completing
all the steps as per the instructions
on:http://systers.org/systers-soc/doku.php/step_by_step_system_installation.
I had created 3-4 test lists and deleted the superfluous ones as these
are default MM installations while I'd like to have dlist enabled with
the UI form for a subscriber to submit an essay during subscription.
KJR was online today morning with me and she too tried installing the
systers branch. Earlier I do recall some gsoc students (iirc
beachbrake and jaideep?) mentioning that they had managed to install
the systers changes on their local systems. So could you explain the
method you used and share the issues you faced and how you overcame
them please.

I was having errors with " bzr checkout lightweight lp:systers . "
which checked out only after the "lightweight" was dropped. KJR had
problems while trying to re-install with bzr, found all other
directories were owned by mailman. The systers directory was owned by
root and all of the systers installed stuff had permission problems
even after she fixed the top level root issue. Any pointers and
feedback is welcome.

TIA,
