Hi Everyone,

We're doing a Ruby Workshop in two weeks in NYC. The workshops are a
one-day teaching event begun in San Francisco that are known for their
comfort and fun-filled spirit. They're doing wonders for gender equity
in the Ruby community - they've closed the gender gap at the SF Ruby
meetups by about 15% in one year!

We'd love to duplicate these results in the Big Apple. Our workshop
will be on May 21st, with a setup session the Thursday evening before.
We have about ten slots left - if you keep hearing how great Ruby is
and want to check it out for yourself, this is a great place to start.
Here's the link:

And even if you can't make it to the workshop, don't worry: we're
sponsoring a monthly meetup for women. We'll be encouraging mentor-
mentee relationships, pairing techniques and other programming
practices dear to the hearts of Rubyists. Check the site for
announcements and we'll be sure to post the logistic details here, too.

Cheers everyone!

Jennifer Lindner
