[Systers-dev] Potential GSoC Students - Setting up Development Environment

Hello potential students!

Wanted to encourage everyone to ask questions about setting up the
development environment if you are running into problems.  Additionally, we
strongly encourage you to go with the pre-installed image.  Be sure to also
double-check the installation steps and check the systers-dev archives - if
you are running into problems.

However, do not let a non-working development environment stop you from
applying to be a Systers GSoC student.  The pre-requisite is that you TRY
and tell us about where you ran into difficulties if you were not
successful.
