This only happens when subscribing via the web interface at the
listinfo page and not by sending an email to
listname-join at hostname.host. I have tried to locate the reason for
this bug by reading the logs and code. I realised that this is
happening only on the lists that existed before setting up Syster's
specific Mailman setup. I have described the situation in detail on
Launchpad at [1]. In fact, instead of labelling it as a bug, it can be
a wishlist item as there is already an alternate solution to it albeit
a bit less user friendly (using the migrate script).
I am currently a final year student in Electronics and Communications
Engineering in Faridabad, India. I was happy to know about Systers and
their initiatives and would be wonderful to work here. And I have read
about you and your contributions as well! :)
I am currently reading the code and writing about my attempts at my blog [2].
Do let me know if the bug report seems valid or not.
Thanks again
Kind Regards
Priya Kuber
