[Systers-dev] build error

Installing and starting with Ubuntu 8.4 is the know working and 
production path for the systers code base.
Some of the GSOG upgrades will address moving it forward.  It has not 
been built on 9.10.

General advise:  use Ubuntu 8.4

If you are particularly interested in projects that involve porting, 
testing, and release and you bring the system up on 9.10 - this would be 
one way to show your skills.  Otherwise try, 8.4, and/or the virtual 
machine build.
