[Systers-dev] Copyright assignment for upstream contributions to Mailman

Something to think about for GSoC students:

While I don't think we have any particular copyright needs for code we
want to run for Systers, anyone interested in contributing to upstream
Mailman may need to assign copyright to the Free Software Foundation:

You still get credit for your code (including a thank you in our
acknowledgements section), and when I did it the FSF sent me some GNU
stickers as a thank you. ;)

I don't anticipate this being a problem for most summer of code
students, but if you think it could be (i.e. someone else has some say
in what you do with your intellectual property, like your university or
another employer) or you have any questions about how this works and
what it means and why we do it, it's better to ask early and get that
sorted out in advance!
