Hi Jaideep,
Please test the postgresql login and password by trying it directly on
the command line:
sudo -u postgres psql -U user_name template1
where user_name = the database login name.
If you get in successfully, use \q to quit
If this works, the problem is in mailman, and not the database
configuration.
