Hi,
It is time for the update.
After the openid registeration for the Systers Member Users and the CGI
working , I managed to use the Systers OpenID Provider and Consumer to work
simulatenously . Both the consumer and provider runs on different server for
different ports . As it is independent for the Mailman code it can be used
as plugin for the Mailman 3.0 .Now as the user have registered her OpenID
she will be having her own Identity URL such as :
,let us suppose, if a user has registered with the ID 'abc at systers-dev.org'
then her identity url will be 'http://systers.org/id/abc@systers-dev.org' .
This ID will only be used when the email address 'abc at systers-dev.org' has
got the 'openid' bit set to 1 in the membership database i.e. the user has
registered the same for the corresponding email address. Although the
frontend UI is still basic but right now , the concern is to make the
backend working , and it seems to work now . It is redirecting from the
consumer to the provider and again back to the consumer. But, here it should
be directed to the listpage of the user with all his subscribed lists. From
there he can proceed to any of his list without providing the credentials
required. Looking forward for the redirection to the common list page and
expect to finish it soon . Once I complete till this then a testing could be
done for the Wiki and other applications . It is nice to see the shaping up
of the OpenID Provider and Consumer. Lets see that things goes right and we
are able to manage the Systers OpenID Implementation :).
Have a Nice Weekend !
Regards
